What Exactly is Direct Care?
In essence, direct care means we don’t deal with health insurance. Instead, we offer clear and upfront pricing for our services.
We take great pride in building strong connections with our patients. We take the time to understand them, their lifestyles, and their skin, hair, and nail health needs. Unfortunately, modern healthcare often strays from this personalized approach. This is largely due to insurance companies influencing care and corporate interests prioritizing profits. The outcome? Many of us are familiar with subpar care: long waits to see specialists, hours spent in waiting rooms, endless form filling, confusing costs of deductibles/ copays/ coinsurance payments, uncovered or denied services, delays in care due to required insurance authorizations/referrals, and the inability to speak to the office medical staff when you have a question or concern. Even when you are able to surpass all of these hurdles, you’re ultimately then only are allotted 5-10 minutes of face-to-face time with the healthcare provider! It’s extremely frustrating for patients, and believe us, it’s frustrating for physicians, too.
The direct care model allows us to focus on the direct relationship between physician and patient by eliminating insurance from the equation. By opting out of insurance, we have the flexibility to spend more quality time with patients and utilize the best tools available to ensure premium patient care and a customized, concierge experience every time you’re in our office.
